At Defense Flow Solutions, we bring together advanced forging and precision machining capabilities to deliver components that meet or exceed the highest industry and military standards. We support a wide range of specifications, including:

  • ASA (American Standards Association)

  • API (American Petroleum Institute)

  • ANSI B16.5 / B16.11

  • Custom NAVSEA, MIL-SPEC, and OEM blueprints

We forge and machine components from a wide variety of materials, including:

  • Stainless Steel (304, 316, 321, 347)

  • Copper-Nickel Alloys (70/30, 90/10)

  • Nickel Alloys (Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy)

  • High-strength and corrosion-resistant steels

  • Custom and exotic alloys

Parts can be supplied in rough-machined, semi-finished, or fully finished forms—ready for installation or integration into your naval systems.

Flanges are a critical component in virtually every fluid-handling system aboard a Navy ship, from high-pressure steam and fuel oil lines to seawater cooling systems and compressed air networks. At Defense Flow Solutions, we manufacture and supply a full spectrum of flanges in accordance with ANSI B16, NAVSEA drawings, and other governing standards.

We offer all major flange types:

  • Weld Neck (WN) – Designed for high-pressure, high-temperature applications; excellent fatigue resistance.

  • Slip-On (SO) – Cost-effective and easy to align; ideal for lower-pressure applications.

  • Socket Weld (SW) – Provides strength and tight fit for small-bore piping systems.

  • Threaded (TH) – Used in low-pressure systems where welding is not feasible.

  • Blind (BL) – Used to seal the end of a piping system or pressure vessel opening.

  • Lap Joint (LJ) – Paired with stub ends; ideal for systems requiring frequent disassembly.

  • Custom & Modified Designs – Including orifice flanges, spectacle blinds, ring-type joints (RTJs), and MIL-SPEC variants.

Available in:

  • All Alloys – Including stainless steel, copper-nickel, nickel alloys, carbon steel, and duplex grades.

  • All Sizes & Pressure Ratings – Ranging from Class 150 to 2500 and higher.

  • Custom Bore & Facing Options – Raised face (RF), flat face (FF), ring-type joint (RTJ), or specialty surfaces.

All flanges can be provided bare, coated, or passivated, and with full documentation including hydrotest certificates, PMI reports, and heat treatment records where required.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

At the heart of our operation is a Tier 1 Quality Control Department that ensures every forged or machined part meets the rigorous standards expected in defense and maritime applications. We provide complete material traceability and documentation, including:

  • Certified Material Test Reports (MTRs)

  • Dimensional Inspection and first article reports

  • Non-destructive Testing (NDT) – Including X-ray, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant

  • Code Compliance Certifications – ASME, ASTM, MIL-SPEC, and others

We also offer full lot traceability, critical for maintaining compliance with NAVSEA and defense contract requirements.
